Anna Beck's "Gili" Teardrop Chandelier Earrings
Anna Beck maybe a contemporary jewelry designer based in cosmopolitan Los Angeles, but her heart is obviously in the exotic island of Bali in the far distant shores of Indonesia. Her jewelry designs use some of the oldest jewelry-making techniques from that other side of the world.
Just take these chandelier earrings as an example. It is similarly-designed with her other jewelry collections of rings, bracelets and necklaces -- handcrafted lovingly with Balinese inspiration. This pair of jewelry is beautifully-layered with gold disks, with each disk made of precious metal materials cut and affixed to the metal base. This is a Balinese technique that produces intriguing jewelry pieces. Anna Beck's jewelry designer, Becky Hosmer, is a Bali resident who successfully fuses together Anna's unique style with the ancient Balinese jewelry-making technique.
The result is a successful fusion of ancient and new, timeless and contemporary, classic and exciting all at the same time. And because the jewelry pieces are hand-made, each one is unique to every woman who wears it.
