They were always on the forefront of aid efforts when other countries fall to disasters and calamities.  Now it's their turn to need our aid.  The horrific earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan destroyed so many lives and properties that, seeing the footages of the destruction, one cannot help but feel a deep sympathy.
